The Ultimate List of Blogger Net Worths

Would you love to see money from other people? Here’s a list [updated] of net worth estimates from fellow personal finance bloggers.

My favorite part about the personal finance community is how * open * with their money, everyone is. They are not ashamed to list all their debts and, of course, they are not too afraid to post their savings.

But the aspect which most inspires me is when bloggers share their net worth. Call me a voyeur, but as the months tick by, there’s something so captivating about watching people develop (and decline) their wealth. Seeing them go up is just as motivating as it is when they go down-if only to prove these bloggers are just as human as the rest of us.

So I thought I was going to start tracking those updates to help inspire you guys. Every month I will update this list, and I encourage you to follow the ranges most closely related to your own personal situations. This will also give you an overall idea of what others are doing to accomplish their goals as well, which, let’s face it, is to make as much money as I can to skip ahead of some of the big boys on the list as well as seeing how they got to where they are. We go here!

Things to keep in perspective:

Each is of various ages

Some measure net worth of their families vs. their own

Some of them are more discreet than others and they can leave details out

Several of them include their houses, vehicles, even personal property, while others neglect all of them – including pension accounts

People live all over the world (and therefore their living costs are all over the world too)

All are at various points of their lives

Resources to help you track your net worth:

CNN Net Worth Calculator — A calculator that shows you your net interest, umm … Then you can equate this with the average household median of $100,894 $68,828.

PersonalCapital.com (free) — Lots of people recommended and Enjoyed. Plays a snapshot of all of your accounts in one location-with an investment emphasis.

Mint.com (free) — Add your accounts and it will spit your value, not to mention help keep track of all your revenue / expenses easily.

My (free) financial “snapshot” spreadsheet — This is what I use for both my net worth and my budget. I like to keep track manually for greater transparency.

A pen and paper (almost free of charge) — If you don’t like stuff online, go old school!

NetWorthShare.com — A new (free) way to track your net worth through graphs from a guy who was sick of using NetWorthIQ.com when they stopped (and overwhelmed with spam) running it. You’ll even see several other finance bloggers use it.

CelebNetWorth.net — If you want to compare your net worth to celebrities

Want *your* net worth included?

If you’re a blogger and want your net worth included here, shoot me a note and I’ll add you up. I usually like to include everyone in this type of stuff (bloggers AND non-bloggers), but the point is to learn what and how others do to track their worth, so we need to be able to link to the page listed with details. If you are a non-blogger but have a post written down and posted elsewhere, please let us know and you will be honored to be included!

Imagine joining the Financial Blogger Conference this year too! What a perfect way to learn and network with your fellow money lovers / biz owners, and just have a complete kick-ass time. You get an opportunity to have a hangout with me-J. Cash – too much

Here’s a general master list of TOP financial bloggers, powered by my boy Jeremy at ModestMoney.com, too. If you’re not on this list, sign up! My ambition is to get all their net worth reported here eventually-at least those who share it …

Hope this helps you guys!
